Volleyball Recap: Riverview Academy of Math and Science Takes a Loss

Riverview Academy of Math and Science entered their matchup against Sports Leadership & Management on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Barracudas fell 3-1 to the Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 two weeks ago.

Riverview Academy of Math and Science started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-23, 25-15, 25-16.

Riverview Academy of Math and Science's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Sports Leadership & Management, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 12-0.

Looking ahead, Riverview Academy of Math and Science will host Universal Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Barracudas are facing the Falcons at the right time seeing as the Falcons are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Sports Leadership & Management, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Academy at the Lakes on the 9th.
