Soccer Game Preview: Victory Christian Academy vs. CES Academy

The Victory Christian Academy Soldiers will head out to face off against the CES Academy Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. CES Academy took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Victory Christian Academy, who comes in off a win.

Victory Christian Academy is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Florida's top teams: Faith Christian Academy, who was ranked 24th at the time (Victory Christian Academy was ranked 14th). The Soldiers put the hurt on the Angels with a sharp 5-2 win last Tuesday. The result was nothing new for Victory Christian Academy, who have now won three matches by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Faith Christian Academy with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Chesney Link (2), Haley Grace Franklin (2), and Mikaela Wimberly.

Meanwhile, CES Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 6-0 to Crossroads Christian Academy. That's two games in a row now that CES Academy have lost by exactly six goals.

Victory Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those four games. As for CES Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Everything went Victory Christian Academy's way against CES Academy when the teams last played last Monday, as Victory Christian Academy made off with a 6-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Soldiers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
