Medora piles up the points against Columbus Christian

The Medora Hornets scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They breezed by Columbus Christian on the road to the tune of 61-34. That 61-34 margin sets a new team best for Medora this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Medora to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jenna Bowers, who almost dropped a triple-double on 20 points, 12 rebounds, and nine steals. That makes it 13 consecutive games in which Bowers has scored at least 25% of Medora's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaralyn Hackney, who scored 26 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Medora is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-10 record this season. As for Columbus Christian, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Medora will take on Clarksville at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Clarksville has struggled recently with ten losses in a row, while Medora will arrive with three straight wins. As for Columbus Christian, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Indiana Math & Science Academy North at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th.
