Appleton City won the last time they faced Lakeland and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Vikings by a score of 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Appleton City had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-20, 25-21, 25-22.

Lila Stephan paced Appleton City's offense, picking up 12 kills. Stephan got some help from Raeleigh Hill and her 16 assists. Kady James controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

When it comes to explaining why Lakeland lost, don't look at Addison Meeker. Despite the final result, she had 15 digs and two assists.

Appleton City's win bumped their record up to 12-10. As for Lakeland, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-6.
