Soccer Game Preview: Rosemont vs. Union Mine

The Rosemont Wolverines will venture away from home to face off against the Union Mine Diamondbacks at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Rosemont's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Rosemont's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged Amador out 1-0. The Wolverines' winning goal came courtesy of Christian Munoz.

Meanwhile, Union Mine fell victim to Bradshaw Christian and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They lost 6-0 to the The Pride.

Rosemont moved to 5-9-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Union Mine, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-11-1 record this season.

Rosemont beat Union Mine by a goal when the teams last played on January 8th, winning 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Rosemont since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
