Recap: Hillside Hornets vs. Northern Durham Knights
In what's become a running theme this season, the Hillside Hornets gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They blew past Northern Durham 68-12 at home. The win was familiar territory for Hillside who now have three in a row.
Hillside's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kynnedy Roberts led the charge by scoring ten points along with four steals. Roberts hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Samiyah Barker, who scored 11 points.
Hillside has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Northern Durham, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-15.
Hillside will head out on the road to challenge East Chapel Hill at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hillside has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Northern Durham, they will be playing at home against Chapel Hill at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for Northern Durham: they have been struggling with nine straight losses at home, while Chapel Hill has snatched up seven consecutive wins on the road.
