Volleyball Recap: Saddleback Comes Up Short

Saddleback was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Western Pioneers, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Pioneers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-0 loss last Wednesday.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-11, 25-8.

Leading Western to victory were Byron Miranda and Nathaniel Dumangas. Miranda had 33 digs and two assists, while Dumangas had 16 assists and seven digs. That's the most digs Miranda has posted over his last seven matchups.

Saddleback's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Western, their win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-1.

Coming up, Saddleback will square off against Los Amigos at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Western, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Whitney at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
