Soccer Game Preview: Bloom-Carroll vs. Bexley

The Bloom-Carroll Bulldogs will venture away from home to take on the Bexley Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Bloom-Carroll is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand Hamilton Township an 8-0 shutout. It was an even better day for Emily Smith as she scored four goals for her team.

Meanwhile, Bexley made easy work of Bishop Hartley on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 win.

The victory was the eighth in a row for Bloom-Carroll, bringing their record up to 14-3-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 49 goals over those eight matchups. As for Bexley, their victory bumped their record up to 11-6-1.

Bloom-Carroll couldn't quite get it done against Bexley in their previous meeting back in September as they fell 2-0. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
