Volleyball Recap: Grain Valley Extends Winning Streak to Five

Grain Valley waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Park Hill Trojans 3-0.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 25-18, 26-24.

Maddox Dresslaer paced Grain Valley's offense, picking up 14 kills. Dresslaer got some help from Jordan Jackson and his 22 assists. Finally, Dresslaer was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Grain Valley's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-7-1. As for Park Hill, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14-1 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grain Valley will take on Staley at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Park Hill, they will square off against Benton at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Cardinals will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Trojans surely won't give up without a fight.
