Basketball Recap: Bradshaw Christian Takes a Loss

If Bradshaw Christian was riding high fresh off their 72-32 takedown of Galt last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bradshaw Christian Pride fell 54-44 to the Liberty Ranch Hawks on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 62-56 back in January.

Despite the loss, Bradshaw Christian still got an impressive performance from Aiden Gordon, who posted 17 points and three steals. The dominant performance also gave Gordon a new career-high in rebounds (four). Ethan Rickert was another key player, putting up 12 points and five boards.

Elliott Hawker was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double with 22 points and nine rebounds for Liberty Ranch. The matchup was Hawker's fifth in a row with at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Derek Nelson, who earned 11 points.

Bradshaw Christian's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-18. As for Liberty Ranch, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-11 record this season.

Bradshaw Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 73-55 victory against Rosemont on the 13th. As for Liberty Ranch, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 55-43 win against Galt on the 13th.
