Softball Recap: Easthampton Eagles vs. Longmeadow Lancers
Easthampton had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Longmeadow Lancers by a score of 4-2 on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Easthampton of the 10-9 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.
For Longmeadow's part, Livia Kelly made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. Kelly was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Delaney Schrager, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and a triple.
The win made it two in a row for Longmeadow and bumps their season record up to 3-2.
