Basketball Game Preview: South Bronx Prep Cougars vs. St. Mary's Ryken Knights

The South Bronx Prep Cougars will face off against the St. Mary's Ryken Knights at 8:55 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are still undefeated (South Bronx Prep has three wins , while St. Mary's Ryken has five dating back to last season).

Last Wednesday, everything went South Bronx Prep's way against Longwood Prep Academy as South Bronx Prep made off with a 65-42 win. Fans of the Cougars have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

While St. Mary's Ryken didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against Varsity Opponent by a score of 43-30 on Friday. The 43-point effort marked the Knights' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

South Bronx Prep pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 41.7 points. As for St. Mary's Ryken, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.
