After only two runs in their last match, St. Joseph made sure to put some runs up on the board against East Lansing on Saturday. The Bears put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 14-3 victory. Considering the Bears' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Henry Church tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits.

On the hitting side, Bryce Vujtech was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Blayke Sicurello was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

St. Joseph kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East Lansing only managed six hits.

St. Joseph now has a winning record of 4-3-1. As for East Lansing, their defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Joseph will face off against Harper Creek at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last five games the Beavers have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for East Lansing, they will take on Haslett at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
