Volleyball Recap: Millis Falls to Bellingham in First Game of Season

Millis unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 3-0 to the Bellingham Blackhawks on Wednesday. The Mohawks have struggled against the Blackhawks recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

The final score came out to 25-5, 25-5, 25-10.

Bellingham's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Val Nolan, who hit 92.3% for 12 kills and 11 aces and one block. Those 11 aces gave Nolan a new career-high.

Millis has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Norton on the 5th. As for Bellingham, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Medway on the 5th.
