Lutheran had already won seven in a row and they went ahead and made it eight on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by  a  3-0 margin over the Discovery Canyon Thunder. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  3-0  back in September.
 Lutheran was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-19,  25-17.
 Madeline Miller went supernova,  getting 14  digs and four  aces. That's the most  digs  she has posted since back in September.
 They weren't the only good servers: Lutheran  was lethal from the service line and  finished the match with 13  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least seven  aces in four consecutive  matches.
 Despite the loss, Discovery Canyon still got an impressive performance from   Gabby Huebner, who  had seven  assists and six  digs.
Lutheran's win bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Discovery Canyon,  they are  on  a  seven-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 4-12.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Lutheran will  square off against  rival Cheyenne Mountain  at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile, Discovery Canyon is set to  take on  their familiar foe Palmer Ridge  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
