Ashby took a 12-run loss the last time they faced off against Hancock, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Arrows sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over the Owls on Tuesday.
AJ Olson was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Aiden Jeppeson also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Ashby's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-10. As for Hancock, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.
Ashby does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hancock, they will challenge Canby at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
