Baseball Game Preview: London Pirates vs. Goliad Tigers

The London Pirates will square off against the Goliad Tigers on Saturday. London is coming into the game hot, having won their last nine games.

London is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They put the hurt on Raymondville with a sharp 11-1 victory. Considering the Pirates have won 21 contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Goliad posted their closest win since March 25th on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Hondo.

Goliad is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for London, their victory bumped their record up to 31-7.

Everything went London's way against Goliad when the teams last played back in March, as London made off with a 9-2 win. Will the Pirates repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
