Baseball Recap: Putnam County Comes Up Short

Putnam County fell victim to Scotland County and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. The game marked the first time this year in which the Midgets were not able to get on the board.

Putnam County has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 23-7 record this season. As for Scotland County, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-8.

Putnam County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Scotland County, they will head out to face off against Schuyler County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rams will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight.
