Wakefield Memorial barely beat Lexington the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Warriors blew past the Minutemen 9-1 on Friday. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by eight runs or more this season.

Wakefield Memorial pushed their record up to 9-3-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Lexington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wakefield Memorial will welcome Melrose at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lexington, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Westport at 4:15 p.m.
