Basketball Game Preview: Fairfield Falcons vs. Attica Bulldogs

Fairfield is 0-10 against Attica since February of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Fairfield Falcons will venture away from home to face off against the Attica Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Fairfield will bounce into Friday's game after beating Cunningham, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Fairfield came out on top against Cunningham by a score of 45-34 on Tuesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Falcons as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Fairfield's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aaliyah Baker, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenley Fowler, who posted 17 points.

Fairfield was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Attica). They breezed by South Barber to the tune of 74-20 on Tuesday. The win was nothing new for the Bulldogs as they're now sitting on five straight.

Attica has also been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.9 points per game. As for Fairfield, their record is now 7-9.

Fairfield came up short against Attica in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 54-44. Can Fairfield avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
