Basketball Recap: Barbourville Takes a Loss

If Barbourville was riding high fresh off their 65-40 takedown of Lynn Camp last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Barbourville Tigers took a 64-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bell County Bobcats on Friday. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Bobcats recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Barbourville's defeat dropped their record down to 7-17-1. As for Bell County, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Looking ahead, Barbourville will venture away from home to square off against Harlan County at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Bell County, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Mercer County at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
