The Fort Lauderdale Flying L will take on the Cypress Bay Lightning at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cypress Bay took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Fort Lauderdale, who comes in off a win.

Fort Lauderdale is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They snuck past South Plantation with a 40-34 victory on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Flying L's.

Maranda Byrnes and Lis Gut Zen were among the main playmakers for Fort Lauderdale as the former posted 13 points along with six rebounds and six steals and the latter had 14 points. Those 13 points gave Byrnes a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Powell, who scored five points and nine boards.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 61 points the game before, Cypress Bay was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They were dealt a 63-21 defeat at the hands of Blanche Ely. The loss continues a trend for the Lightning in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost five in a row.

Cypress Bay's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Fort Lauderdale, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Fort Lauderdale took a serious blow against Cypress Bay in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 63-26. Thankfully for the Flying L's, Peyton Looky (who went 6-for-14 to rack up 17 points in addition to five assists and five steals) won't be suiting up this time.
