Richmond won the last time they faced Knob Noster and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Richmond Spartans simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Knob Noster Panthers 72-37. The Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 21 points or more this season.

Richmond's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gabriel Johnson, who dropped a triple-double with 11 points, ten boards, and ten blocks. Johnson is becoming a predictor of Richmond's success: when he posts at least eight rebounds the team is 16-1 (and 1-2 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Dryden Hendrix, who went 6-for-11 to rack up 18 points and five boards.

Richmond is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy: their three-point shooting accuracy was 37.2% in those games and 29.3% outside of them. As for Knob Noster, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-14.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Richmond will square off against Lexington at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Lexington comes in on eight and Richmond on five. As for Knob Noster, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Panthers challenge the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
