Lutheran barely beat Springfield Southeast the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Crusaders put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 8-1 win on Friday. The result was nothing new for Lutheran, who have now won nine matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

The victory (which was Lutheran's fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-2-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 28 goals over those five matches. As for Springfield Southeast, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14-2.

Looking ahead, Lutheran will host Beardstown at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Springfield Southeast, they have already played their next contest, an 8-0 loss against Bloomington on the 4th.
