Basketball Recap: Mitchell Comes Up Short

Mitchell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 30th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 52-32 to the Montbello Warriors.

Montbello can attribute much of their success to Micah Martinez, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 boards. Turohn Shinalut was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Mitchell's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Montbello, they moved to 1-10 with that win, which also ended their ten-game losing streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mitchell will take on Elizabeth at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Montbello, they will face off against Thomas Jefferson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
