Baseball Recap: St. Joseph Falcons vs. East Brunswick Bears

St. Joseph couldn't beat East Brunswick on Tuesday even though they stacked five runs on them in the sixth inning. The Falcons fell 10-6 to the Bears. Falcons fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Bears since on Tuesday.

St. Joseph got a big performance out of Owen Kruly, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. Those stolen bases were Kruly's first of the season. Another player making a difference was JP Zayle, who went 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for St. Joseph and nudges their season record down to 4-4. As for East Brunswick, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. St. Joseph will take on rival Monroe Township at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, East Brunswick is set to challenge their familiar foe Edison at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
