Basketball Recap: Cole Dugan's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Del Campo over Yuba City

Del Campo fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Yuba City on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 65-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Yuba City Honkers. The Cougars just can't catch a break and have now endured 12 losses in a row.

Several Cougars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cole Dugan, who went 8-for-15 on his way to 21 points. Dugan is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last ten games he's played. Another player making a difference was Vincent Seyford, who posted 15 points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Yuba City to victory, but perhaps none more so than Xavier Armstrong, who went 6-for-7 to rack up 13 points and five rebounds. Travis Lomeli was another key player, putting up 12 points and five boards.

Del Campo's defeat dropped their record down to 7-19. As for Yuba City, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-17.

Del Campo has already played their next match, a 62-59 win against River Valley on the 12th. As for Yuba City, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 77-68 loss against Placer on the 12th.
