Baseball Recap: Helix Comes Up Short

Helix was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eastlake Titans. The Highlanders were not able to make up for their defeat to the Titans from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Helix saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kie Smith, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Helix's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Eastlake, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-6-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Helix will welcome Santana at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Eastlake, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Classical Academy at 4:00 p.m.
