Vista PEAK Prep lost a heartbreaker to Denver North when they met back in May of 2024, and they left with a heavy heart again on Friday. The Bison fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 4-3. The Bison's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Vista PEAK Prep saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Karter Robertson, who went 1-for-2 with two runs.

Vista PEAK Prep's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Denver North, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-10.

Vista PEAK Prep wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 13-10 defeat against Brighton on the 10th. As for Denver North, they will square off against Northfield at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Vikings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Nighthawks have averaged an impressive 10.2 runs per game this season.
