Recap: Lincoln Lions vs. Middletown Islanders
The Lincoln Lions put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Middletown 81-47 at home. Fans of Lincoln have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Lincoln's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Joshua Bergeron led the charge by scoring 22 points. The contest was Bergeron's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Camden Dichiara, who scored 21 points.
Lincoln's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 81.8 points per game. As for Middletown, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
Coincidentally, Lincoln and Middletown will both be playing St. Raphael Academy the next time they take the court. Middletown will host St. Raphael Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Lincoln will host them at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th.
