A well-balanced attack led Padua Franciscan over Lake Catholic in every quarter on their way to victory on Saturday. Everything went the Padua Franciscan Bruins' way against the Lake Catholic Cougars as the Padua Franciscan Bruins made off with a 71-48 win. The Bruins have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 20 points or more this season.

Lake Catholic lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Ace Peterlin, who posted 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cross Nimmo, who scored eight points and six boards.

Padua Franciscan has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Lake Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.

Padua Franciscan and Lake Catholic could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. Padua Franciscan will square off against St. Edward at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 152 places (182 vs. 30). Similarly, Lake Catholic (ranked 329th) will meet Fairview (ranked 130th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
