Softball Recap: Higley Knights vs. Gilbert Tigers

Higley won the last time they faced Gilbert and things went their way on Thursday too. The Knights came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 12-9. With that win, the Knights brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Maruko Harada was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and five unearned) runs off nine hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in February. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
