Soccer Recap: Pilot Point Takes a Loss

Pilot Point was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Sanger Indians who were credited with the win. The Sanger Indians got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the Pilot Point Bearcats' four. Pilot Point were not able to make up for their defeat to Sanger from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Pilot Point's loss dropped their record down to 2-5-2. As for Sanger, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Pilot Point will challenge rival Richland at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Sanger is set to take on their familiar foe Bonham at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
