Baseball Game Preview: McDonald Blue Devils vs. Grand Valley Mustangs

The McDonald Blue Devils will challenge the Grand Valley Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Grand Valley will be up against a hot McDonald team: the squad just extended their winning streak to five. The Blue Devils never let Springfield get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Thursday.

Quinn Schmidt made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over six innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
