Basketball Recap: Gatesville Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

Gatesville won the last time they faced C.H. Yoe and things went their way on Saturday too. The Gatesville Hornets strolled past the C.H. Yoe Yoemen with points to spare, taking the game 38-20. Given the Hornets' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 478th, while the Yoemen are ranked 1122nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Gatesville's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for C.H. Yoe, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.

Gatesville will take on Palestine in a holiday battle at at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for C.H. Yoe, they will be playing at home against Little River Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Little River Academy will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something C.H. Yoe surely won't give up without a fight.
