Recap: London Pirates vs. Blanco Panthers
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the London Pirates can now relate to. They took a serious blow against Blanco on Friday, falling 55-24. London was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 55-14.
Cameron Anderson got back to being his usual excellent self, as he rushed for 90 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, and also threw for 177 yards and three touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes. Anderson hasn't dropped below two rushing touchdowns for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Nic Fox, who rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries.
London's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Blanco, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-2.
London does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Blanco will be playing in front of their home fans against Goliad at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Goliad is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
