Baseball Game Preview: Taylor Allderdice Dragons vs. Pine-Richland Rams

Taylor Allderdice hasn't had much luck against Pine-Richland recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Dragons will head out to take on the Rams at 4:15 p.m.

Taylor Allderdice lost 8-1 to Shaler Area on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, while Pine-Richland put up some runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Mt. Lebanon. The Rams came out on top against the Blue Devils by a score of 5-0.

Noah Mackie tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over five innings pitched. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Sam Heckert and Anthony Annichine did most of the damage at the plate: Heckert went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double, while Annichine scored two runs while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs Annichine has posted since back in April of 2024.

Taylor Allderdice's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Pine-Richland, their record now sits at 6-1.

Taylor Allderdice came up short against Pine-Richland in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, falling 6-1. Can the Dragons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
