There's no place like home for Lake Norman, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Hickory Ridge Ragin' Bulls by a score of 8-3 on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Ragin' Bulls on Tuesday, they had to take a 13-7 loss.

Caden Beaver looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Andres Acurero was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Michael Busa, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI.

Lake Norman's record now sits at 15-7. As for Hickory Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-7.

Looking ahead, Lake Norman will be playing at home against Mooresville at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Blue Devils have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season. As for Hickory Ridge, they will face off against West Stanly at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Colts will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Ragin' Bulls surely won't give up without a fight.
