Football Recap: Marfa Takes a Loss

Marfa's last matchup with Balmorhea could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Friday. The Shorthorns had to suffer through a 58-12 loss at the hands of the Bears. Having soared to a lofty 76 points in the game before, the Shorthorns couldn't push the score so high this time.

Marfa now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Balmorhea, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Coming up, Marfa is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Sierra Blanca at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Balmorhea, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on El Paso Leadership Academy East at 7:30 p.m. on the 26th.
