Recap: Urbana Hawks vs. Governor Thomas Johnson Patriots
Even though the Urbana Hawks have not done well against the Governor Thomas Johnson Patriots recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Urbana snuck past the Patriots with a 54-49 win. For Urbana, this counts as revenge for the 67-57 defeat the Patriots walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.
Urbana got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Sean Pyles out in front who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Kaden Swing, who scored 11 points along with six assists and two steals.
Urbana has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. As for Governor Thomas Johnson, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
