Capistrano Valley and Dana Hills are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2015, but likely not for long. The Cougars will challenge the Dolphins at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Meanwhile, Dana Hills also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Mission Viejo by a score of 6-1. The loss continues a trend for the Dolphins in their meetings with the Diablos: they've now lost seven in a row.

Capistrano Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Dana Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.

Capistrano Valley skirted past Dana Hills 3-2 in their previous matchup back in February of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
