Softball Recap: Asheboro Comes Up Short

Asheboro extended their losing streak to 14 on Monday, dropping their season record down to 3-16 in the process. They came up short against the Ledford Panthers, falling 15-0. That's two games in a row now that the Blue Comets have lost by exactly 15 runs.

Asheboro saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was A'Mya Mosby, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.

As for Ledford, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-6. 15 seems to be a good number for they as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

On Ledford's side, Alana Herrera was incredible, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Hailey Hoots was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

Asheboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ledford, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 9-4 defeat against North Davidson on the 29th.
