Basketball Game Preview: Idea Pflugerville Wizards vs. Valor North Austin Lions

The Idea Pflugerville Wizards will venture away from home to square off against the Valor North Austin Lions at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Idea Pflugerville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.2 points per game this season.

Last Wednesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Idea Pflugerville beat Griffin School 58-53.

Idea Pflugerville relied on the efforts of Daniel Osorio, who posted 24 points, and Kabari Mitchell, who put up 16 points. Mitchell's evening made it 12 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Valor North Austin challenged NYOS Charter on Tuesday. Valor North Austin fell 47-35 to NYOS Charter.

The victory got Idea Pflugerville back to even at 6-6. As for Valor North Austin, they dropped their record down to 2-9 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Idea Pflugerville strolled past Valor North Austin when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a score of 45-28. The rematch might be a little tougher for Idea Pflugerville since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
