Softball Recap: Warren Comes Up Short

Warren came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 9-2 to the New Lexington Panthers.

Warren saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Marina Johnson, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. DeLaney Gates was another, going 2-for-3 with two runs.

Warren dropped their record down to 5-6 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for New Lexington, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-6.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Panthers beat Warren by a score of 7-4 later that day.
