After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Washington Union, Coalinga was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They slipped by the Firebaugh Eagles 15-14. The Horned Toads haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Coalinga's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gracin Redding, who threw for 157 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushed for 50 yards. The Horned Toads' leading receiver Jd Reed was Redding's top target yet again, picking up 90 receiving yards and one score.
Coalinga's run defense was locked in: Firebaugh could only muster 2.7 yards per carry. While two picked up at least eight total tackles, Redding stood above the rest. He threw for 157 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushed for 50 yards. Coalinga's ground attack was stronger, having averaged 4.5.

Although Firebaugh took the loss, they still got scores from Alex Rosa and Ryan Luna.

Coalinga wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 51-7 win against Avenal on the 10th. As for Firebaugh, they have also already played their next contest, a 35-3 victory against Tranquillity on the 10th.
