Basketball Recap: Newman Grove/St. Edward Panthers vs. Palmer Tigers
Newman Grove/St. Edward was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a 43-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Palmer Tigers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 42-34 last Thursday.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kailey Patzel, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 boards. Patzel is crushing it when it comes to boards: she's pulled down at least nine every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Allyx Forre, who posted ten points and eight rebounds.
