Clearbrook-Gonvick had to endure a nine-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Cass Lake-Bena Panthers by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Bears, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Clearbrook-Gonvick's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-9. As for Cass Lake-Bena, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clearbrook-Gonvick will welcome Lake of the Woods at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cass Lake-Bena, they will be playing at home against Polk County West [Climax/Fisher] at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday.
