Basketball Game Preview: Whitefield Academy WolfPack vs. Paideia Pythons

Whitefield Academy is 0-5 against Paideia since December of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Whitefield Academy WolfPack will welcome the Paideia Pythons at 6:00 p.m. Whitefield Academy will be strutting in after a win while Paideia will be coming in after a loss.

While Whitefield Academy didn't have the best season last year (they finished 1-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They pulled ahead with a 67-66 photo finish over Wesleyan on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the WolfPack.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Whitefield Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hailey Houlder, who went 6 of 14 on her way to 22 points along with six boards and five assists. Houlder is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last six games she's played. Haley Holland was another key player, going 6 for 12 on her way to 12 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals.

Meanwhile, Paideia came up short against Mt. Bethel Christian Academy on Tuesday and fell 60-50.

Paideia has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Whitefield Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
