Shekinah Christian wins going away against Senedot Stripes

In what's become a running theme this season, the Shekinah Christian Flames gave their fans yet another huge victory on Saturday. Everything went their way against Senedot Stripes as Shekinah Christian made off with a 40-18 victory. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 27-7.

Shekinah Christian found their leader in underclassman Haylee Beachy, who scored nine points along with four steals. Beachy hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Alinea Slabaugh was another key contributor, scoring six points along with three blocks and two steals.

Shekinah Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Senedot Stripes, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5.

Shekinah Christian will head out on the road to face off against Columbus School for Girls at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Ohio (Columbus School for Girls is ranked 612th, while Shekinah Christian is ranked 588th). Senedot Stripes will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Harvest Temple Christian Academy at 7:00 a.m. on February 9th.
