Volleyball Recap: Adrian Has No Trouble Against El Dorado Springs

Adrian lost to El Dorado Springs back in October of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Blackhawks were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bulldogs. The game was the first time the Blackhawks have beaten the Bulldogs on their court since October 11, 2016.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Adrian was: they took every set by at least 14 points. The final score came out to 25-11, 28-14, 25-11.

Adrian can attribute much of their success to Olivia Engeman, who had ten digs and three assists. That's the most assists Engeman has posted over her last seven matches.

Adrian pushed their record up to 13-5-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for El Dorado Springs, their defeat ended an 11-match streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-9-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Adrian will take on Summit Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games the Eagles have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for El Dorado Springs, they will challenge Versailles at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
